# AbstractEntity: shared CDEK API transport in Joomla

AbstractEntity in WT CDEK for Joomla covers the entity base class and shared request transport. This reference explains its purpose, parameters and PHP examples for Joomla extensions.

AbstractEntity is the base class of all library entities. The Cdek facade normally creates entity instances for you.

## `__construct()`

### Signature

```
public function __construct(CdekRequest $request)
```

### REST API

No REST API call.

### Purpose

Stores the shared CdekRequest transport in protected $request. All entities use the same transport, authentication, cache and error handling.

### Parameters

`$request`: CdekRequest instance.

### Returns

Constructors have no return value. No REST API call is made.

### Example

$cdek = new Cdek();
